POPAI has always been dedicated to the advancement of the marketing at retail industry, and part of that commitment includes staging a objective contests and awards program that showcase the best the industry has to offer.
OMA Awards: What's New in 2011?
There have been a number of changes to the contest this year, so please read them all and contact Alicia Rutherford at arutherford@popai.com or 703.3733.8805 with any questions.
GlobalShop will be held at Sands Expo in Las Vegas, NV on March 28-30, 2011.
Set-up will be on Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. POPAI’s Awards Gala will take place on Tuesday, March 29, 2011(5:00 PM – 7:30 PM).
All Gold and DOY winners this year will receive their personalized statuettes at the Awards Gala to take home with them or display in their booth the next day! If you are not able to make the Gala your statuette will be mailed to you. Silver and Bronze statuettes will still be mailed to the winners after the show. Please review your entrant and client information very carefully as this will be printed on the statuettes. Any reprints will cost $15 each and will take two weeks to arrive.
The Multinational Category has been eliminated. These entries should now be entered in the appropriate product or retailer category.
The Limited Production Run competition has been eliminated. If you have an entry that you would like to submit that does not meet the 100 production run quantity please contact Alicia Rutherford at arutherford@popai.com or 703.373.8805 to discuss.
The Temporary Division has been changed from 0-3 months in store to 0-2 months in store. The Semi-Permanent Division has been changed from 4-6 months in store to 3-6 months in store. The Permanent Division stayed at 6+ months in store. This change was made to bring the OMA contest in line with the divisions in POPAI’s Chapter competitions.
Entrants will not be allowed to change their category or division of their entry after they submit online. All changes will be made by the judges and those changes are final. Entrants will be notified if their entry has been changed. There will be no changes allowed onsite.
The contest site will open on Friday, October 1, 2010 to start accepting entries.
