Fuzzy Logic

Logic method based on the human reasoning process that does not use clear statements, such as true or false, but deliberately fuzzy terms, such as little and much, which permit decisions to be made on the basis of mathematically imprecise, empirical knowledge. Computer programs based on fuzzy logic are primarily used in machine controllers that have to operate with numerous parameters that can only be determined accurately at unjustifiably great expense, if at all.
