Copyright Law

Protects the creative expression of ideas, not the ideas themselves. Examples of qualifying works are P-O-P sketches, designs, models and prototypes. Copyright ownership generally lasts (depending on when the work was initially publish) for the life of the author plus 50 years. For a work made for hire, the copyright is good for 75 years from the first publication or 100 years from the year of creation, whichever occurs first.
