A row of bars typically across the gripper of a printed sheet. The bars are made up of alternating colors of those being used in the print process. In 4 color process work, the bars will consist of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (CMYK). These bars are used to measure the density of the ink and help a printer make color corrections while on press.
